Chapter 4

1.
In the Tate Modern, films and pictures are displayed in various locations. These displays are often in imaginative locations and formats. A French artist by the name of Dominique Gonzalez Foerster has a television installation in the Tate Modern, which broadcasts information on herself and her selected works of art.

2.
Dan Graham: Two Correlated Rotations- A man drawing various sketches and traces. It is shown via a projector.

Dominique Gonzalez: Felix 2001- Bunk Beds with various books on them. No mattress present on the bed, with a large TV screen in the foreground.


Susan Hiller:PSI Girls- A number of films, one of which appears to be Matilda. All shown at the same time.


Jonas Mekas: States of Flux- A series of crude flashing images taht show the true spirit of experimental media.


Pawel Kwiek: Video A and Video P- Two videos of crude drawings.

The meanings of the location and video can bear a large inpact on the viewer. It can influence the surroundings and in some cases it can change the landscape of the situation. The viewer can be affected by the aura brought on buy the film and the location.
